Actually, Russia invaded now because one, their politcal leaders are all at the olympic games, and two, georgia was trying to make a treaty with Europe, so Russia invading now instead of later may have prevented World War III! |

| Wars over. Russia still hates Georgia but they moved their troops out because they were worried about the impending threats from other countries and they did not want to start another World War which was a chance.  |
